Tested Interviews Carl Merriam: Hired to work on LEGO Minecraft!

3/31/2014, 6:13 am by Octan

Youtube content creators Tested stepped outside their normal ties with Mythbusters to interview AFOL Carl Merriam today. The interview is iffy but does contain some really cool shots of his MOCs and also the announcement of his arrival at The LEGO Company working in the Minecraft line!

The Reacquisition of

2/23/2014, 11:31 am by Octan

The Brick Hope staff are proud to announce that we have reclaimed for ourselves!
The Domain was purchased at auction by a staff member this morning and is currently being finalized and transferred to the appropriate host. Our Forumotion domain will remain an active and working way to access the site but we hope many of you will choose to use the new URL. We are not sure as of yet if we will switch completely over to or simply redirect to our Forumotion site. We will be hosted all site images there however, avoiding another Brickshelf like we are going through currently.

Recent Rounds of Spam Accounts

2/21/2014, 6:49 pm by Octan

On February 22, we were hit with 84 new members, using already registered names and emails that appear to be spam related. We are not sure the purpose of this attack, be advertising or more malicious but all accounts have been deleted. It appears the accounts were generated from already existing usernames, to attempt to have us delete innocents while cleaning up, but due to Forumotion's wonderful tools all was rolled back. Registration is now admin approved until it is clear the attack is over. User data and non new accounts were not effected.

All accounts made on Feb. 22 were banned, if you believe you were wrongly banned contact a staff member.

The Brick Hope Staff

The IP range that attack came from has been identified and I can say with confidence that no-non spam accounts were removed yesterday. We just finished up with removing all the spam accounts and registration as normal should return in the coming days.

It looks like Ghost Busters will be the seventh Cuusoo set to hit the presses! From the sounds of it, they have headed the communities warning of straying too far from the original model (as we saw in BTTF).

It seems like it is that time again, when we reflect on the pass and look to move forward to the future. 2013 was a great year for The Brick Hope with lots of news, sets, and announcements. We hope 2014 will bring as much success and activity as this year brought. As we are just minutes from the ball dropping (and new sets) we urge you to spam your refresh button until the new sets hit!  Grin

Have an unforgettable evening at the amazing Parisian Restaurant!

It’s very busy in the Parisian Restaurant. As a scooter zips by, inside the waiter rushes between the tables as the nervous young man gets ready to propose with the ring! It’s just as hectic behind the scenes, with the chef busily preparing the food. This beautifully detailed building is the setting for so many stories and is a great addition to the modular building series. The Parisian Restaurant has a fully-stocked, blue and white tiled kitchen with tableware as well as a cozy apartment with pull-down bed, kitchenette and fireplace. On the top floor is the artist’s room with a studio that includes a cast iron heater, easel, paintbrush and two works of art by the aspiring artist. Outside, stairs lead down to the roof terrace lined with hanging …
